Did you know the State mandates that Termite Inspection Companies fill and test all shower pans on first floor bathrooms, but everyday we hear from the termite inspector that shows up and tells us that they are not required to test the shower pans anymore. This is far from the truth and they are still required to per the States Structural Pest Control Board. Most of these companies in the desert with a exception of a few that do test when they see us on the inspection since they know we are going to call them out or just test them ourselves. Like yesterday we tested all three shower pans in a house in La Quinta, Two of them were leaking. The termite inspection company showed up towards the end and never asked up what we found he was there about 20 minutes told the agent everything was clear and left. No it was not clear there is 5K worth of repairs needed.
